Description Of Event	Composed in a lush, post-Wagnerian idiom, Schoenberg�s �Songs of the Gurre Castle,� taken together, are a massive, ambitious epic about love, death, and nature. Calling for five vocal soloists, a narrator, three male choruses, a large mixed chorus, and a tremendous orchestra (including ten horns and four harps!), it uses its extravagant forces to tell of a tragic love triangle. These performances are made possible by generous support from the Lloyd E. Rigler � Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation. Concerts in the Thursday 2 subscription series are generously supported by the Otis Booth Foundation.
